Tony D. Fenner-Leitao joined DG Partners U.S. as managing director and head of marketing and development.
It is a new position for London-based DG Partners. Mr. Fenner-Leitao, who started Jan. 1, markets the firm's systematic strategies to North American asset owners and will open the company's first U.S. office in San Francisco, spokesman Steve Bruce confirmed.
Mr. Fenner-Leitao was managing director and global head of sales and marketing at alternative investment manager Passport Capital until June 2018. His replacement there could not be learned.
David M. Gorton, chief investment officer of DG Partners, said in a company news release that Mr. Fenner-Leitao will "help to spearhead the growth of our business in the United States."
DG Partners manages $1.1 billion for institutional investors in global macro and systematic trading strategies.
