Bradley Bauer was promoted to deputy chief investment officer by alternative investment specialist Varde Partners.
Mr. Bauer, a partner, retained his previous title as global head of private debt, transportation and energy, and will relocate to London from the firm's Minneapolis headquarters later this year.
In assuming the new role, Mr. Bauer joined Varde's global CIO team. Ilfryn Carstairs and Jeremy Hedberg serve as co-CIOs and Guiseppe Naglieri is deputy CIO and global head of corporate and traded credit. All three are Varde partners.
"With Brad's move to London, Varde will have a CIO presence in each region with Ilfryn in Singapore and Jeremy and Guiseppe in Minneapolis," said a news release from the firm Tuesday.
Varde Parters manages $14 billion in alternative strategies including credit, real estate, real assets and infrastructure.
