Olivier Szwarcberg was named Asia head of research at Sun Life Investment Management, a spokeswoman said.
Mr. Szwarcberg will lead the money manager's credit research to "develop and safeguard investment growth" in the Asia-Pacific region, a news release said. Mr. Szwarcberg, who is based in Hong Kong, will report to Sancho Chan, chief investment officer, Sun Life Asia and David Hamlin, senior managing director, North American Credit Research at Sun Life Investment Management.
He replaces Tieu-Bich Nguyen. The spokeswoman would not provide further information on her departure.
Mr. Szwarcberg previously was head of Asia fixed income at Fidelity International. He left early in 2018 and was replaced by portfolio manager Bryan Collins, said Fidelity International spokesman Craig Terrington in an email.
