Jose Castellano was named deputy CEO and head of international business development at iM Global Partner, a spokeswoman said.
Both positions are new. Mr. Castellano is responsible for business development outside of the U.S. He reports to Philippe Couvrecelle, founder and CEO of the firm.
"This strategic appointment is important for our international distribution platform," Mr. Couvrecelle said in a news release. "(Mr. Castellano's) strong experience is a critical asset for our mission to support and develop the operational distribution capability of our current and future European and U.S. partners."
Mr. Castellano was head of distribution covering the Asia-Pacific region, Latin America, U.S. offshore and Iberian clients at Pioneer Investments until March 2017; he left when Amundi acquired Pioneer in 2017, the spokeswoman said.
Details of his replacement could not be immediately learned.
IM Global Partner has $7.6 billion in assets under management.
