Oklahoma Firefighters Pension & Retirement System, Oklahoma City, hired RBC Global Asset Management and Wellington Management Group to run $50 million each in active emerging markets equities, said Troy Brown, executive director at AndCo Consulting, the pension fund's investment consultant.
The $2.7 billion pension fund issued an RFP in July to explore competitors in the marketplace, Mr. Brown said. Incumbent managers ClariVest Asset Management and Wasatch Advisors both rebid for the services. The former was a finalist, along with Baron Capital.
AndCo assisted with the search.
