Jin Philips was named head of strategic relationships Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Newton Investment Management, a spokesman said.
The role is new. Ms. Philips is responsible for sales across U.K. institutional and charity distribution channels and reports to Julian Lyne, chief commercial officer.
"(Ms. Philips) brings a wealth of experience back with her to Newton IM," Mr. Lyne said in a news release. "In her previous roles, (she) has consistently demonstrated an ability to build long-term and collaborative working relationships with external stakeholders in our key channels. I am confident that (she) will bring added focus and momentum to our distribution efforts."
Ms. Philips previously worked as a consultant at SecureInsights. A spokesman could not be reached immediately to provide details on a replacement.
Ms. Philips previously worked at Newton until 2013. In her last role she was co-head of North America.
Newton has £51.8 billion ($66 billion) in assets under management.
