Kasper Elmgreen was named head of equity investment platform at Amundi, a spokeswoman said.
Mr. Elmgreen replaced Diego Franzin. Mr. Franzin left in July to pursue other opportunities in Italy, she said. Additional details could not be learned.
Mr. Elmgreen is mainly responsible for European equity, but his duties also include volatility, convertible bonds, Japanese equity and global equity.
Mr. Elmgreen was head of fundamental equities at Nordea Asset Management. A Nordea spokeswoman said Mr. Elmgreen's replacement is yet to be named but in the interim, Jens Rygaard, chief investment officer of fixed income and equities, is acting as the head of the fundamental equities.
Amundi has €1.47 trillion ($1.67 trillion) in assets under management.
