Iowa Municipal Fire & Police Retirement System, West Des Moines, hired Marquette Associates as investment consultant, confirmed Terry Slattery, executive director of the $2.5 billion retirement system.
The RFP was issued in August after the board learned that its consultant at the time, Summit Strategies, was being sold to Mercer and AndCo Consulting and therefore wanted to see "what the rest of the market had to offer," Mr. Slattery said.
NEPC was the other finalist.
