Costas Yiasoumi joined Willis Towers Watson as a senior director in its pension derisking transaction business, a spokesman said.
The position is new. Mr. Yiasoumi is based in the firm's Manchester, England, office.
"His unique multidisciplinary skills and track record will be invaluable to our clients as they seek the right derisking solutions," said Ian Aley, head of transactions consulting at WTW, in a news release.
Mr. Yiasoumi was head of core business U.K. PRT at Legal & General – the pensions risk transfer business, a spokeswoman for L&G confirmed. She said the L&G retirement institutional PRT business has undergone some restructuring, with a new business team in place consisting of two areas: origination and execution; and pricing and execution.
