Levine Leichtman Capital Partners held a final close on its latest buyout fund, Levine Leichtman Capital Partners Fund VI, which closed at its $2.5 billion hard cap, according to a news release.
The new fund also surpasses its prior buyout fund, the $1.65 billion Levine Leichtman Capital Partners Fund V, that closed in 2013.
Levine Leichtman Capital Partners Fund VI has already made four investments including additional capital invested in an existing portfolio company.
Investors in Fund VI include the $15 billion Kentucky Retirement Systems, Frankfort; $13.9 billion Ohio School Employees Retirement System, Columbus; $11.5 billion Montana Board of Investments, Helena; $2.1 billion Louisiana Municipal Police Employees Retirement System, Baton Rouge; and $1.2 billion Chicago Laborers' Annuity & Benefit Fund.
