Texas Employees Retirement System, Austin, committed a total of $159 million to alternatives in December, a transaction report showed.
Investment officers of the $27.8 billion pension fund committed €100 million ($114 million) to Ardian Infrastructure Fund V B SCS SICAV-RAIF, a Europe-focused fund managed by Ardian Investment UK. Texas ERS previously committed $65 million to Ardian Americas Infrastructure Fund IV in April.
The pension fund earmarked a $30 million commitment to Siris Capital Group, a new manager to the pension fund, for investment in Siris Partners IV, a technology-oriented buyout fund.
The public employees' pension fund also committed $15 million to a private market co-investment. As a matter of policy, the pension fund does not identify managers of its co-investments.
