Detroit Policemen & Firemen Retirement System is searching for a real estate consultant, said Ryan Bigelow, chief investment officer, in an email.
The $3.3 billion pension fund issued an RFP as part of an ongoing review of its vendors, Mr. Bigelow said. Current consultant Courtland Partners is invited to rebid.
As of Sept. 30, the actual allocation to real estate was 8.4%; the target is 10%.
The RFP is available on the pension fund's website. Proposals are due Jan. 31. A timeline for a decision was not provided.
