AQR hires former BlackRock executive as head of client solutions

Ryan Rampersaud will join alternative investment manager AQR Capital Management as managing director and head of client solutions on Feb. 25.

Mr. Rampersaud will work with AQR's current clients and "further enhance our best-in-class approach to client relations,' AQR said in an internal memo to employees obtained by Pensions & Investments. Mr. Rampersaud reports to Gregor M. Andrade, principal and head of institutional business development.

He will replace William Latimer, managing director, who will become a product specialist on AQR's multiasset class portfolio team. AQR spokeswoman Claudia Gray declined to comment.

Mr. Rampersaud resigned as managing director and global head of client service management at BlackRock (BLK). His duties will be assumed by others on the client service team while BlackRock searches for his replacement, said BlackRock spokeswoman Melissa Garville in an email.
