Mark Lewis was named head of climate change investment research at BNP Paribas Asset Management, a spokesman confirmed.
The position is new. Effective Jan. 7, Mr. Lewis will analyze regulatory developments, identify and monitor climate-related risks across portfolios and help direct the climate-related research, analysis and reporting conducted by the firm's Sustainability Center. He will be based in Paris and report to Jane Ambachtsheer, BNP Paribas Asset Management's global head of sustainability.
Mr. Lewis was managing director and head of research at Carbon Tracker Initiative, a think tank. He will be replaced by Mark Fulton, a Carbon Tracker spokesman confirmed.
BNP Paribas Asset Management has €569 billion ($647.4 billion) in assets under management and advisory.
