Alex Done was named deputy comptroller and chief investment officer of New York's Bureau of Asset Management, said a news release from New York City Comptroller Scott M. Stringer's office.
He was named interim CIO in June, replacing Scott Evans.
Mr. Done will serve as investment adviser to the $200 billion New York City Retirement Systems. He will report to Mr. Stringer, the fiduciary for the five pension funds that comprise the retirement system.
Prior to being interim CIO, Mr. Done was deputy CIO for private markets. BAM does not currently have anyone serving that position. J. David Enriquez was promoted to head of private equity earlier this month from interim co-head of private equity.
