Olivier de Larouziere was named head of global multistrategy products for BNP Paribas Asset Management's global fixed-income team, a spokesman said.
The role is new. Mr. De Larouziere will be responsible for all multisector portfolios and management teams, investment process and new offerings beginning Jan. 7.
"(Mr. De Larouziere) has wide-ranging experience across the fixed-income spectrum that will be key as we develop our global multisector investment capabilities and expand our product range," Dominick DeAlto, chief investment officer of fixed income at BNP Paribas Asset Management, said in a news release.
Mr. De Larouziere joins from Ostrum Asset Management, where he was co-chief investment officer of fixed income. A spokeswoman said Chief Investment Officer Ibrahima Kobar is handling Mr. De Larouziere's responsibilities.
BNP Paribas Asset Management has €569 billion ($644.7 billion) in assets under management and advisory.
