Hudson County Employees' Pension Fund, Jersey City, N.J., is searching for an investment consultant and custodian, an RFP posted on the county's procurement website said.
The $32 million pension fund is seeking a firm to "provide overall investment advice and monitor the performance, suitability and risk-return characteristics of asset classes available to the fund," according to the RFP, as well as provide custodial services. Whether the pension fund is seeking one or two firms and whether the current vendors are invited to rebid could not be immediately learned. The pension fund has been closed to new employees since 1974.
A similar RFP was issued in May, minus the custodial services request. The reason for the new issuance could not be immediately learned.
The RFP is available on the county's procurement website. Registration is required. Proposals are due at 11 a.m. EST on Dec. 27. A timetable for a decision was not provided.
Maria S. Mercurio, purchasing agent, could not be immediately reached to provide further information.
