Andres Saenz was named global private equity leader at Ernst & Young, spokeswoman Allison Devaney confirmed in an email.
He replaced Herb Engert, who is now managing partner at Ernst & Young's New York office.
Mr. Saenz will oversee more than 25,000 professionals and advise private equity firms at putting dry powder to work, creating value, and realizing returns and improving operating models. He will report to Shaun Crawford, EY's global vice chair – industry.
Mr. Saenz was global co-head of the private equity practice at EY-Parthenon. He will continue to hold the position.
