Timothy Atwill and Thomas Lee were named co-chief investment officers at Parametric Portfolio Associates, effective Nov. 1, 2019, Parametric announced Thursday.
The new positions are part of a restructuring of Parametric's investment leadership as Jack Hansen, CIO of Parametric's Minneapolis investment office, is to retire next November.
Mr. Atwill is head of investment strategy in Parametric's Seattle investment office; Mr. Lee is managing director for investment strategy and research in the firm's Minneapolis office.
Messrs. Atwill and Lee both will report to CEO Brian Langstraat.
Paul Bouchey, CIO of Parametric's Seattle-based investment, research and strategy activities, will become Parametric's global head of research and development, a new position. His investment duties will be assumed by Messrs. Atwill and Lee, a Parametric spokeswoman said.
Mr. Hansen was CIO of The Clifton Group, which was acquired by Parametric in 2012. He remained with Parametric as investment chief of the futures and overlay business in Minneapolis.
"Creating an integrated CIO office is a natural development in the multiyear integration of legacy Parametric and Clifton Group teams. Closer coordination of product development and sales, along with a centralized CIO office, supports our investment approach and maximizes output from the investment and research teams," said Mr. Langstraat in a news release.
Parametric managed $238.5 billion in assets as of Sept. 30.
