Jay Teevan joined Commonfund as managing director of consultant relations.
Ms. Teevan is based in the firm's Wilton, Conn., headquarters and will work with investment consultants regarding Commonfund's alternative strategies, including private equity, venture capital, natural resources and co-investments.
The position is new, said Kate Sylvester, a Commonfund spokeswoman, in an email.
Ms. Teevan was a managing director at Artisan Partners, where she led consultant relations and institutional sales for the firm's credit investment team. Eileen L. Kwei, managing director, replaced Ms. Teevan in February, said Michael Roos, an Artisan spokesman. Ms. Kwei previously was a director in Artisan's institutional client services team for the firm's global equity strategies. Her duties were assumed by others on the team, Mr. Roos said.
Commonfund manages $25 billion.
