Alan Li was named president of CBRE China, a unit of CBRE Group.
The Shanghai-based role is new. Mr. Li was managing director of capital markets for Greater China at the global commercial real estate services and investment firm.
Mr. Li will report to Ben Duncan, CBRE's Hong Kong-based president of North Asia.
A replacement for Mr. Li's Greater China capital markets role will be named "in the near term," said a CBRE spokesman.
