Anthony Maniscalco joined Investcorp as managing partner and head of the firm's new strategic capital partners strategy which will acquire minority equity ownership stakes in alternative asset managers, spokeswoman Katherine Segura confirmed.
It is a new position.
"We are looking forward to expanding our range of capabilities by introducing this new strategy that will target investments in midsized managers across different alternative asset classes," said Rishi Kapoor, co-CEO of Investcorp, in a news release.
Mr. Maniscalco was managing director and co-head of Credit Suisse's Anteil Capital Partners, which also invested in alternative investment managers before the unit closed last year.
Investcorp had $22.6 billion in total assets under management and advisement as of June 30, including assets managed by external managers and non-discretionary assets under advisement.
