Investment Management Corp. of Ontario picks senior managing director of private markets

Nicole Musicco was named senior managing director, private markets, at the C$61.6 billion ($46.6 billion) Investment Management Corp. of Ontario, Toronto, effective Jan. 7.

The position is new, an IMCO spokeswoman said. Ms. Musicco will report to Jean Michel, IMCO chief investment officer.

Ms. Musicco was senior managing director, public equities, at the C$193.9 billion Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan, Toronto. An Ontario Teachers spokesman said the plan would not comment on who will handle Ms. Musicco's duties.

IMCO was created in 2016 and was seeded by assets of the C$29.4 billion Workplace Safety and Insurance Board and the C$26.4 billion Ontario Pension Board, both of Toronto. It also manages assets of other pension funds, endowments, foundations and other institutions in Ontario.

As of June 30, IMCO managed a total of C$15.2 billion in private markets assets — C$8.9 billion in real estate, C$4.6 billion in infrastructure and C$1.7 billion in private equity.
