University of Vermont and State Agricultural College, Burlington, committed up to $5 million to ParkerGale Capital II for its $472 million endowment pool, university spokesman Jeffrey Wakefield said in an email.
The subcommittee approved the commitment to the private equity fund at its Oct. 24 meeting. ParkerGale primarily invests in technology companies.
