Attleboro (Mass.) Contributory Retirement System rehired three investment managers to continue overseeing four portfolios and selected a new manager to run another, said Leslie J. Ring, executive director of the $150 million defined benefit plan.

The board voted to rehire Frontier Capital Management to manage $23.5 million in active domestic midcap core equity; Fidelity Institutional Asset Management to run $21.6 million in active domestic core fixed income; and Invesco (IVZ) Real Estate, $8.8 million in private core real estate and $2 million in a real estate investment trust.

The board also hired Peregrine Capital Management to manage $8.5 million in an active domestic large-cap growth equity strategy previously run by Boston Advisors.

Boston Advisors and ClearBridge Investments submitted bids for the portfolio.

The RFPs were issued in August to comply with state regulations requiring contracts be put out to bid every five years.

Dahab Associates, the pension fund's investment consultant, assisted with the searches.
