Tom Gardner was named director for global consultant relations at Jupiter Asset Management, a spokeswoman said.
The position is new. Mr. Gardner is responsible for strategic relationships with global and local consultants, reporting to Jill Barber, global head of institutional.
"The continued growth of our institutional business is a key strategic priority for Jupiter," Ms. Barber said in a news release. "(Mr. Gardner) brings a wealth of knowledge and consultant relations experience to this role, and I am delighted he has joined us."
Mr. Gardner was a director on the consultant relations team at BMO Global Asset Management. A BMO spokeswoman could not be reached to comment about a replacement.
Jupiter has £50 billion ($65 billion) in assets under management.
