UIA Investment Management, Ullico's new fixed-income investment management firm, has recruited two senior executives from Amundi Pioneer, spokeswoman Corinne Houlihan confirmed.
Timothy J. Cunneen joined the firm as chief investment officer and senior portfolio manager, while Daniel R. Adler is senior portfolio manager. The positions are new.
Mr. Cunneen will lead the firm's investment team, while Mr. Adler will serve on the new company's board.
Mr. Cunneen was a senior portfolio manager for agency MBS and short-duration strategies at Amundi Pioneer, while Mr. Adler was director of securitized assets and senior portfolio manager for the agency MBS strategy. Mr. Adler was replaced by Douglas T. Breeden, formerly a senior consultant to the firm, confirmed Amundi Pioneer spokeswoman Robin Schoen. Although there's no specific replacement for Mr. Cunneen, Mr. Breeden will co-manage mortgage and short-duration strategies along with Rob Aufdenspring and Stephen Bernhardt.
