Adam Kanzer was named head of stewardship, Americas at BNP Paribas Asset Management, spokesman Quentin Smith said.
The position is new. Mr. Kanzer will oversee the firm's stewardship activities in North America, including researching corporate governance issues, leading corporate engagement initiatives and working with policymakers on environmental, social and governance issues. He reports to Helena Vines Fiestas, global head of sustainability research and policy.
Mr. Kanzer was managing director of corporate engagement at Domini Impact Investments. It could not be immediately learned if he was replaced.
BNPP AM had €560 billion ($643 billion) as of June 30.
