Rhode Island State Investment Commission, Providence, is searching for an investment consultant for the state's $6 billion 529, $900 million 401(a) and $368 million 457(b) plans.
The RFP was issued because of state Treasurer Seth Magaziner's policy to put all administrative contracts up for bid by the end of his current term. Capital Cities is the current consultant and is invited to rebid, said Evan England, spokesman for Mr. Magaziner.
The RFP is available on the state treasurer's website. Proposals are due by 5 p.m. EST on Nov. 16. A selection date was not disclosed.
Mr. Magaziner oversees the investment commission.
