Investec appoints U.S. strategic partnerships head

Baily Blair Kempner was named head of U.S. strategic partnerships at Investec Asset Management, confirmed company spokeswoman Charlotte Luer in an email.

The position is new. Ms. Kempner will develop strategic institutional relationships across existing and prospective clients in the outsourced CIO and subadvisory sectors across the U.S. She will report to Philip Anker, managing director, North America.

Ms. Kempner was a principal at The Abraaj Group. It could not be learned if she was replaced; a spokesman for the company could not be immediately reached.

Investec Asset Management has $141 billion in assets under management.
