Los Angeles Fire & Police Pension System's board committed up to $40 million to Hellman & Friedman Capital Partners IX, according to a report for the board's Thursday board meeting.
Hellman & Friedman's latest large-cap buyout fund is expected to invest primarily in companies in North America and Europe. The board made the investment in closed session on Sept. 28.
Los Angeles Fire & Police has invested with Hellman & Friedman in the past, including a $20 million commitment to Hellman & Friedman Capital Partners VII in 2009.
