Dan Watkins, J.P. Morgan Asset Management's London-based global head of client services, was appointed as the firm's next CEO of the Asia-Pacific region.
Mr. Watkins will relocate to Hong Kong in late 2018 to replace Michael Falcon in that role, a spokeswoman confirmed.
Mr. Falcon, as previously reported, will return to the U.S. following a transition period to take on the roles of chairman and CEO of Prudential PLC's North American business.
In addition to his client service position, Mr. Watkins serves JPMAM's deputy CEO of JPMAM Europe. Mr. Watkins' successor for those London roles will be named "in due course," according to a JPMAM news release Thursday.
JPMAM has more than 1,400 Asia-Pacific employees, and managed more than $167 billion for clients in the region as of the end of September, the news release said.
