Regina Tuczak was named executive director of the Cook County Employees' and Officers Annuity & Benefit Fund and the Cook County Forest Preserve District Annuity & Benefit Fund, both of Chicago.
Ms. Tuczak will take over the position Dec. 3, the pension funds said in a news release late Wednesday.
She will replace Nickol Hackett, whose contract with the two pension funds, which have a combined $10.4 billion in assets, is expiring.
Ms. Tuczak is executive director of the $2.45 billion Chicago Policeman's Annuity & Benefit Fund. Ms. Tuczak said she would remain at the Chicago police fund until she starts at Cook County, and her replacement has not been named.
Ms. Tuczak will not be assuming Ms. Hackett's chief investment officer responsibilities, a pension fund spokesman said. The funds' board will review options for appointing a CIO once Ms. Tuczak "has fully transitioned into the executive director role," the spokesman said.
