Nick Burgess was named head of product strategy and development for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at AllianceBernstein, a spokeswoman said.
Mr. Burgess replaced Jeremy Bezant, who left earlier this year, she added. Mr. Burgess is responsible for AB's product lineup in the EMEA region, with initial focus on product needs for the retail market.
"The EMEA region is key to AB's strategic expansion so providing products that deliver outcomes for retail clients is vital to our strategy of becoming a preferred partner for distributors. It has become increasingly important to have developers on the ground in the region. Having a London-based product development resources as part of our global team enables us to provide faster and more effective solutions that meet the needs of investors in the different European markets," Silvio Cruz, head of global product development, said in a news release.
Mr. Burgess most recently worked as product development manager at Aberdeen Standard Investments. A spokeswoman could not be reached to comment about a replacement.
AllianceBernstein has $539.8 billion in assets under management.
