Tim Gosling was named head of pensions policy at B&CE, provider of The People's Pension, a multiemployer defined contribution plan, a spokeswoman said.
Mr. Gosling will replace Andy Tarrant on Oct. 15. Mr. Tarrant will remain at the £5 billion ($6.6 billion) DC plan to work on special projects.
"I'm delighted to welcome a technical policy expert of (Mr. Gosling's) caliber to B&CE," said Gregg McClymont, director of policy and external affairs at B&CE, in a news release. "With his professional background in the not-for-profit trust-based pensions sector and at our trade body, he's a great fit for The People's Pension."
Mr. Gosling has been defined contribution policy lead at U.K. Pensions and Lifetime Savings Association. A spokesman said the association is "actively searching for a replacement."
