Joanna Rotenberg was named global head of BMO Global Asset Management, effective in 2019, parent BMO Financial Group announced Wednesday.
Ms. Rotenberg will replace Gilles G. Ouillette, who plans to retire sometime next year, according to a news release.
She will retain her title and duties as group head of BMO Wealth Management.
Ms. Rotenberg's appointment was one of several announced by BMO Financial Group. Among other appointments, Patrick Cronin was named chief risk officer at BMO Financial Group and Daniel Barclay was named CEO and group head of BMO Capital Markets, BMO's corporate banking and securities unit. Both appointments are effective Nov. 1.
Mr. Cronin, who currently is CEO and group head of capital markets, will replace Surjit Rajpal, who will retire on Jan. 31. Mr. Barclay, co-head, global investment and corporate banking, will replace Mr. Cronin. Peter Myers, co-head with Mr. Barclay, will become sole head of global investment and corporate banking.
A spokesman at BMO could not be reached for further details.
BMO Global Asset management had $260 billion in assets under management as of Dec. 31.
