Dan Robinson was named chief investment officer for Europe at CIFC Asset Management, a spokeswoman said.
The position is new. Mr. Robinson focuses on CIFC's European investment business and development of its European corporate credit investment platform.
"(Mr. Robinson) is a widely respected credit investor whose deep knowledge of European leveraged loan, levered credit, high yield bond, and collateralized loan obligations strategies will prove invaluable as we establish our European investment platform. It is evidence of our commitment to Europe that we have recruited someone of his pedigree to spearhead our investment efforts in the region and to help develop new, innovative products for our global clientele," Stephen Vaccaro, CEO and chief investment officer, said in a news release.
Mr. Robinson was previously portfolio manager at Apollo Global Management in London. A spokeswoman could not be reached to comment about a replacement.
CIFC has $20 billion of assets under management.
