Bryon Willy was named director, global client group, at DWS Group, overseeing consultant-driven outsourced chief investment officer coverage, according to a DWS spokeswoman.
The position is new. Mr. Willy will focus on expanding the use of DWS investments in real assets as well as passive investments and environmental, social and governance strategies by consultant-based OCIO providers.
He will report to J.J. Wilczewski, managing director and head of institutional coverage, Americas, the spokeswoman said.
Mr. Willy was principal and head of North American fixed income at Mercer. His duties at Mercer have been reassigned to others and he was not replaced, said a Mercer spokeswoman.
DWS had €687 billion ($797 billion) in assets under management as of June 30.
