John Lovito and Charles Tan were named senior vice presidents and co-chief investment officers of global fixed income at American Century Investments, a company spokeswoman said.
They replace David MacEwen, who was CIO of fixed income as well as co-CIO of American Century. Mr. MacEwen will remain co-CIO until Dec. 31.
Messrs. Lovito and Tan will oversee management of $40 billion in fixed-income assets. They will report to Victor Zhang, senior vice president and co-CIO at American Century.
Mr. Lovito was senior vice president and senior portfolio manager at American Century. Mr. Tan was head of North American fixed income at Aberdeen Standard Investments. Information on his replacement could not be immediately learned.
American Century had $171 billion in total assets under management as of Wednesday.
