Kevin Olsen, news editor of Pensions & Investments, has been named managing editor, effective Oct. 1.
Mr. Olsen has served as news editor since 2014, and has been with P&I since 2011.
Mr. Olsen is replacing Elizabeth Karier, who will assist with the transition and retire in early 2019.
David Schepp, now online editor, will become news editor effective Dec. 1.
"Kevin knows the news operation and P&I's audience," said Amy Resnick, editor of P&I. "He is an important member of the P&I team who has shown strong news judgment, attention to detail and an unflappable nature to handle what is thrown at him on deadline. It has been gratifying to see Kevin's growth in his past positions at P&I. I'm sure he will succeed equally well in his new role."
Mr. Schepp joined P&I in 2016. Ms. Resnick said: "I've appreciated the levelheaded and thoughtful approach David has brought to news and web operations at P&I. I am excited about his new role."
