Marcus Frampton was named chief investment officer of the $65.4 billion Alaska Permanent Fund Corp., Juneau, a news release said.
Mr. Frampton has been acting CIO since Russell Read resigned in July to join index provider MSCI as managing director and global head of client solutions. He was due to start the London-based position in September.
Mr. Frampton was previously the sovereign wealth fund's director of investments, real assets and absolute return. How that role will be filled in the future has yet to be determined, APFC spokeswoman Paulyn Swanson said in an email.
