Mark Steed was named chief investment officer of the $9.8 billion Arizona Public Safety Personnel Retirement System, Phoenix.
He replaces Ryan Parham, who retired in July, the pension fund said in a news release Friday announcing the change. Mr. Steed has been acting CIO since Mr. Parham's departure; he was previously deputy CIO and chief of staff.
The pension fund has no immediate plans for Mr. Steed’s previous position, spokesman Christian Palmer said in an email.
