Chicopee (Mass.) Contributory Retirement System is conducting a search for an manager of managers for an as-yet-undetermined amount of the $318 million defined benefit plan, said executive director Anna Maria Hamblin.
The pension fund issued the RFP because its seven-year contract with its current manager of managers, SEI Investments, will expire at the end of the year. SEI Investments is welcome to rebid.
SEI oversees a portion of the plan's portfolio, while the $71.8 billion Massachusetts Pension Reserves Investment Management Board, Boston, manages the remainder. Ms. Hamblin declined to disclose how management of the assets were broken down.
The RFP can be obtained by emailing Ms. Hamblin. Proposals are due by 4 p.m. EDT Oct. 24. Ms. Hamblin said the board would like to select a manager before December.
