Bernie McNamara was named global co-head of investor services and solutions at CBRE Global Investors, said Pam Barnett, CBRE spokeswoman.
It is a new position. He will report to Mike McMenomy, global head of investor services, whose role Mr. McNamara is expected to take on in the course of a three-year succession plan before Mr. McMenomy's eventual retirement.
Mr. McNamara was previously global head of alternatives investment strategy and solutions at J.P. Morgan Asset Management. JPMAM spokesman Sam Wallman could not be immediately reached to provide further information.
Separately, CBRE Global Investors closed the €1 billion ($1.16 billion) CBRE Europe Value Partners 2, a value-added real estate fund. Investors include the $151.2 billion Texas Teacher Retirement System, Austin.
