Eastern Kentucky University, Richmond, Ky., is searching for record keepers for its two 403(b) plans and 457 plan, which have combined assets of $131 million.
The university in the RFP posted on its purchasing website says it issued the request to reduce the number of record keepers for the plans to "achieve greater efficiency" in the plans. The current record keepers are Fidelity Investments, TIAA-CREF, VALIC and Voya Financial. Whether all firms are eligible to rebid could not be immediately learned.
The RFP is available on the university's purchasing website. Proposals are due at 2 p.m. EDT on Oct. 12. A contract is due to be awarded on Dec. 1.
Sarah Pitt, the university's chief human resources officer, and Stephanie Sowders, buyer in the university's purchasing department, could not be immediately reached to provide further information.
