St. Louis Firefighters' Retirement Plan is searching for an active emerging markets equity manager to run about $4 million, said Janice Fairless, human resources specialist.
The $67 million pension fund issued an RFP after the board decided to move emerging markets equity to active management; currently Vanguard Group runs a $4 million passive portfolio. The firm is invited to bid, Ms. Fairless said.
Investment consultant Dahab Associates is assisting. The RFP is available on Dahab's website. Proposals are due at 5 p.m. EDT on Oct. 26. A timeline for a decision has yet to be determined.
