Michael Mestel was named managing director and head of U.S. real estate debt originations at H.I.G. Realty Partners, the real estate investment affiliate of H.I.G. Capital, a news release said.
It could not be learned whether it is a new position.
Mr. Mestel, who will be based in New York, was previously head of West Coast originations at Square Mile Capital Management.
