Quantitative Management Associates expanded its investment management teams with the addition of two portfolio managers.
Lorne Johnson was named managing director and client portfolio manager on the firm's global multiasset solutions team.
Mr. Johnson's position is new, said Sheila Kulik, a QMA spokeswoman. He reports to George Sakoulis, managing director and head of global multiasset solutions.
Patrick McDonough was hired as principal and client portfolio manager on QMA's quantitative equity team, also a new position. He reports to George N. Patterson, managing director and co-head of QMA's quantitative equity team.
Messrs. Johnson and McDonough both joined QMA last month and came from State Street Global Advisors, where Mr. Johnson was vice president and senior portfolio manager, and Mr. McDonough was a global strategist.
Brendan Paul, an SSGA spokesman, did not respond to a request for information about replacements.
QMA managed $127 billion in quantitative equity and multiasset solutions as of June 30. It is a subsidiary of PGIM, which managed $1 trillion as of March 31.
