Peter Becker was named fixed-income investment director at Capital Group, a spokeswoman said.
The position is new. Mr. Becker will start Sept. 17 and will work with institutional and financial intermediary clients based across Europe.
"(Mr. Becker) brings more than 22 years of experience to Capital Group, and a wealth of dedicated fixed income and business development experience. With his expertise, we will continue to build on our strategic plan to give investors in Europe access to Capital Group's long-standing fixed-income strategies," said Jeremy Cunningham, also a fixed-income investment director, in a news release. Mr Becker will work alongside Mr. Cunningham.
Mr. Becker most recently was managing director within fixed-income product management at Wellington Management International. A spokeswoman declined to comment on Mr. Becker's replacement.
Capital Group has $321 billion in fixed-income assets under management and $1.8 trillion in total AUM.
