Rob Barrett was named director at Lazard Asset Management, a spokeswoman said.
Mr. Barrett focuses on the U.K. institutional market. Further details of the role could not be immediately learned.
"(Mr. Barrett's) years of experience in the institutional market adds strength to our team in the U.K. He will play an important role in helping us build our profile and continue our growth in the U.K. institutional space," said CEO Jeremy Taylor in a news release.
Mr. Barrett joined the firm from AXA Investment Managers, where he was head of U.K. institutional sales. A spokeswoman could not be reached by press time to comment about a replacement.
Lazard has £162 billion ($210 billion) in assets under management.
